Felix Concepcion

Some would label me “self taught” but I don’t consider that entirely fair. I’ve spent many years reading about art and other artists, looking at paintings and seeing the different brush strokes and colors, learning their techniques, watching “how to videos” from other painters on YouTube. Even working in several Art Stores and talking to my coworkers, many of whom were artist themselves. However, I felt like a fraud. I would receive compliments for what I produced. But I never truly felt like an actual artist. I even had trouble calling myself a “painter”. I never felt like I achieved any artistic awakening or awareness.
